Shwedagon Pagoda has become the symbol of the former capital Yangon as this pagoda is home to strands of Buddha's hair and many sacred relics and fascinating religious rituals and the rhythms of daily life in Myanmar. The 2,500-year-old pagoda is covered in so much gold plates and 4531 diamonds on the top with the biggest one reaching 72 carats. With a good collection of colorful temples, stupas, and statues, Shwedagon Pagoda deserved to be a repository of heritage, architecture, sculpture and arts of Myanmar.
