Explore the must-see highlights in Shanghai, the ‘Pearl of the Orients’ through this 1-day Shanghai shore excursion. Visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Bund, People's Square, Pudong Area, and Xin Tiandi district for a glimpse into modern Shanghai.
Setting off from Shanghai port, you’ll be picked up by your private guide and driver and then transferred to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Standing at 468m in height, Oriental Pearl is the tallest TV tower in Asia and the third tallest one in the world. From its observatory, view the whole Shanghai, and see the image of ‘twin dragons playing with pearls’, formed by the Yangpu Bridge in the northeast and the Nanpu Bridge in the southwest.
Afterward, travel to the heart of Shanghai to visit the Shanghai Bund and People’s Square. Once the important financial center of the Far East, the Bund is a famous landmark with buildings reminiscent of European colonial architecture sitting along the Huangpu River.
Continue on to the Pudong Area, home to many of Shanghai’s modern buildings – a stark contrast to the Bund. After that, enjoy your time in Xin Tian Di, a top nightspot for locals and tourists alike. Visit shikumen, stone residential houses that have given way to trendy bars, restaurants, and boutiques.
Your Shanghai shore excursion ends with a trip back to Shanghai port.
