The driver will transfer you to Hirado Castle standing on a hill serving as the guardian of Hirado Port and Hirado Strait. Nowadays, Hirado Castle attracts visitors with its five-story and classic architecture revealed in pure white color.
Then, head to St. Francis Xavier Memorial Church – a worshiping place for Catholic followers in Hirado city. From the outside, the church looks like a palace of Disney Princess with many tower-shaped tops. The spotlight of this church belongs to the statue of St. Francis built to honor his visit in 1550. Take a stroll down the street and enjoy the spectacular view over Japanese temples and the Catholic Church which creates one of the most exotic views in Kyushu Prefecture.
After that, visit the Matsuura Historical Museum formerly being the residence of Matsuura clan. Today, the museum is home to a plenty of ancient items and artifacts providing the chance to get a glimpse of the history of this island.
