Meet your driver and guide upon pickup from the Penang Port. Start your tour at Penang Art Gallery and State Museum, home to a well-presented and comprehensive collection of artifacts and contemporary arts. Stroll around the museum to learn about the history and ethnic demographics of Penang. Then call in at the Fort Cornwallis, the largest and most intact fort in Malaysia. Continue your walking tour to the nearby Esplanade, a lively waterfront promenade dotted with historical landmarks and small-scaled buildings. At the center of it is Padang, a vast green public square, and next to it sits the City Hall, a magnificent colonial building of British Palladian architecture.
After a savory local lunch, hop on a trishaw for an enjoyable 15-minute ride to the Pinang Peranakan Mansion. Once home to the family of a wealthy Baba, the mansion has been refurbished and converted to a museum featuring over 1,000 pieces of beautiful antiques and artifacts on display. Then head on to the Kapitan Keling Mosque Street where you’ll visit some places of worship such as St. George Church, Kuan Yin Chinese Temple, Sri Mahariammam Hindus Temple and Kapitan Keling Mosque. End your day with shopping time at Local Products Centre before returning to the port in good time for your next shore excursions. Trip ends.
